Eligibility: Nutrition education is now available for patients of Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc, Whispering Pines, and Skeetchestn Indian band members who reside on or off reserve

- Cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure
- Type 2 diabetes and other blood sugar concerns
- Low Iron and anemia
- Gastrointestinal issues (irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s and Colitis)
- Vegetarian or Vegan nutrition
- Food allergies or intolerance’s, including Celiac Disease and lactose intolerance
- Osteoporosis or low bone density
- Pregnancy and infant nutrition
- Family nutrition and meal planning
- Pediatric nutrition for such things as picky eating and growth concerns
Nurse Practitioner
Our Nurse Practitioner monitors blood work and results, provides an initial assessment, Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM), education on the different types of diabetes, diabetes awareness, and referrals to other available resources. Clients must meet eligibility criteria to see the Nurse Practitioner.
Dietitian
With our dietician learn how to incorporate foods that maximize your protection against the progression of diabetes, develop a personalized meal plan, get hands-on experience in the kitchen, and discover a love for good food..
