My name is Jenna Jasek. I am from Kenpesq’t (Shuswap Band). My mom is kúkpi7, Barb Cote. I am the Director of Indigenous Learning at the Outdoor Learning School & Store, a non-profit charity that strives to support Outdoor learning, Indigenous perspectives, and Language Revitalization. Last summer, I completed my Certificate in Secwepemctsín Fluency from NVIT/SFU! I am thrilled to announce that the Outdoor Learning School & Store is offering our first Secwepemctsín (Shuswap) Introductory Online Language Course for educators/adults in both Eastern and Western dialects!
This course is open to everyone who wishes to support language revitalization. It consists of 8 weekly 1-hour online classes, and all participants will receive access to the recordings and a certificate of attendance.
There are several payment options available, with Indigenous participants having the choice to pay 50-100% less.
